According to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Larousse<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2020), hierarchy refers to \u201can organization that ranks people\u2026 each level corresponding to a degree of power, responsibility, competence, or dignity.\u201d But what if meaningful collaboration isn\u2019t limited to flat organizations or teams with formal permission to innovate?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At O Strategies, we believe that collaboration can flourish anywhere\u2014even within systems not originally designed for it.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><p style=\"text-align: left\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading\" >COLLABORATIVE LEADERSHIP WITHIN HIERARCHY<\/p><div class=\"last-paragraph-no-margin\"><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even in environments with clear reporting lines, collaborative practices and individual leadership can emerge organically. Our team instinctively shared facilitation duties, co-managed meeting agendas, and distributed tasks based on strengths and interest. We didn\u2019t need formal permission\u2014we just practiced mutual respect, curiosity, and alignment with our shared goals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>START SMALL, GROW STEADY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adopting collaborative approaches doesn\u2019t require sweeping changes overnight. Begin with reflection:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What would it mean to invite more voices into decisions?<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How could your team co-create meeting agendas?<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Is there a low-risk project that could be co-led by several people?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Try one practice at a time. Give your team space to learn and adapt.
